Frequently asked questions

We encourage you to read about the Bumerang SMART system.
The knowledge below will allow you to better understand the management of devices and facilities in water supply and sewage systems.
Have a good read!

What sources of precipitation are used by Bumerang SMART?

Bumerang SMART downloads data from weather websites, local weather stations and rain gauges.

Do I need to install special software to access the monitoring system?

No, you can access through any device with a browser and Internet access. The system servers connect to the monitored locations via the GSM network (private APN). They collect data and then share them with registered users of Bumerang Smart.

Does Bumerang SMART archive the collected data?

Bumerang Smart allows you to collect and archive all data and to view and analyse them freely, which is a source of knowledge and the basis for optimising and improving the operation of monitored facilities, such as a rainwater drainage system.

Can the system generate reports?

The Bumerang Smart system allows you to collect and analyse data as reports and charts

Is it possible to access the system via mobile devices?

The system is optimised for devices with full HD screens (standard 1920×1080 computer monitors), but of course the system can be accessed from stationary and mobile devices – smartphones and tablets are also supported.

How is a modern rainwater drainage system equipped?

A modern rainwater drainage system is additionally equipped with communication modules, remote-controlled latches, valves, flow regulators, contamination sensors in separators and sedimentation tanks, water level sensors in the main collectors and retention reservoirs, and rain gauges. The management and control system integrates all the said instruments to supervise the correct operation of devices.

Can the system be freely configured depending on devices?

Yes, we make efforts to adapt the system to the customer’s needs.

What is the purpose of a smart rainwater control and monitoring system?

  • monitoring the filling of retention reservoirs;
  • water drainage control;
  • forecasting precipitation based on data from a modern numerical weather prediction system;
  • monitoring of catchment rainfall area;
  • control of basic meteorological parameters in the catchment area;
  • analysis of current parameters and notifying about irregularities in the process and in the operation of system devices;
  • monitoring the quality of retained rainwater;
  • early warning of overfilling of retention reservoirs.

Can Bumerang be integrated with a BMS? Are there ready algorithms? Can the user/designer himself set the algorithm for using the reservoir?

It is possible to integrate Bumerang Smart with a BMS, but you have to each time individually set the communication method between the two systems. Algorithms for autonomous system operation should be developed individually in detail for each set of dependent locations to guarantee safety and ensure optimal operation.
